Plettenvale Boutique Vineyard & Winery is thrilled to be a member of the upcoming “Wine of Origin Plettenberg Bay Region,” which has already been identified as South Africa’s potential “Champagne District.”
This is in part due to the fact that we pay close attention to detail in both the vineyards and the winery, as well as the fact that the climate in our area is generally colder, which makes it an ideal environment for the development of the high-quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes that are required for the creation of Methode Cap Classic.
Vineyards are grown on north slopes, taking advantage of cold sea breezes that sweep across our valley from the coast.
Our meticulously made wines are the result of meticulous attention to detail. Their Brut Rose MCC is made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes in the French manner, and we were delighted to win the prize for finest MCC.
Allen Mullins’ new Rose Rocks tournament included Brut Rose MCC in South Africa in 2015. The Dry Rose is created from the very same grapes as the MCC, but with the addition of slightly riper wine.
Winemaking is a very time-consuming process that requires a great deal of dedication from everyone involved.
